Mill Pond Park

Mill Pond Park sits around the pond that gives it its name, in the older part of Richmond Hill. It is the location SIGS books engagement sessions at by default: the studio's engagement appointment names the Mill Pond Park parking lot at 290 Mill Street as the meeting point, so couples who book an engagement session through SIGS are given this park unless they ask for somewhere else.

Practical notes for the day: the main lot is off Mill Street near Trench Street, parking is free, and there are washrooms — which matters on a session where people change outfits. A City of Richmond Hill photography permit is required for wedding photography in the City's parks under By-Law 19-22, and permits run May to October. Couples are responsible for their own permit; the City books them.

SIGS has thirty years of engagement work and the Mill Pond frames are in the studio archive, but nothing goes onto this site until it has been through the studio's own approval and publishing process.
