What I remember most about Whistle Bear is the service. Our day-of coordinator went far beyond what I normally expect — arranging a ladder for a large group photo, helping with it, organizing golf carts, and driving the couple and wedding party to a quieter portrait area away from active play.
That portrait area gave us privacy, a small bridge and several different backgrounds without wasting time travelling around the property. On the way back, the coordinator even stopped us on a hill because she knew it would give us a strong view of the venue behind the couple.
The food and service were among the best I’ve experienced at a wedding venue. The hors d’oeuvres felt restaurant-quality, and I still remember the braised beef as one of the best dishes I had at a wedding that year. The antique-style door frames inside were also a great feature for portraits and entrances.
