How should we plan arrival photographs at Bellvue Manor?

The foyer is the space Jean has always loved most at Bellvue: an open-to-above ceiling and marble-and-granite finishes that give an arrival real scale. That scale photographs best before guests fill the room. If a wide photograph of the two of you in the foyer matters, plan a few quiet minutes there on arrival, then let us move in closer for the people around you. The photographs on this page include an arrival at the car and a grand entrance into the reception.

What if our ceremony is in the foyer?

Jean has photographed a ceremony set in one corner of the foyer, with guests then moving to the rear of the building and downstairs for the reception. If your day follows a similar plan, the simplest time for family photographs is in the foyer straight after the ceremony, while everyone is still together and before the move. Which spaces and times are included in your booking is for Bellvue Manor to confirm; one past wedding is not a promise of the same arrangement.

How does the split-level reception room change the coverage?

In the lower reception room Jean has photographed, some tables and the bar sit on an upper level, while more seating, the head table and the dance floor are below. That gives us a second vantage point: the entrance, speeches and first dance can be photographed from above as well as from the floor. Bellvue also has a large main ballroom, which Jean has photographed too. Tell us which room you have booked and where the head table and dance floor will be, so we can plan where to stand for each part of the evening.

Jean Remembers · September 2026

Bellvue Manor makes a very strong first impression. I’ve always loved the enormous foyer, with its open-to-above ceiling and marble-and-granite feel. It has the kind of scale that immediately makes the arrival feel important.

At a recent wedding, the ceremony was set in one corner of that foyer and worked beautifully because of the natural light and the way the chairs could be arranged in such a large space. Guests then moved toward the rear and downstairs for the reception, so the day had a very different flow from a typical single-level banquet hall.

The lower reception room is especially interesting to me because of its split-level layout. Some tables and the bar sit higher, while more seating, the head table and dancing happen below. Photographically, that gives me more angles and more depth than a flat ballroom.

The exterior has a modern castle-like feeling, and the food has been another major strength in my experience. A recent antipasto spread had tremendous variety, and the pasta and meat were excellent. Bellvue comes very close to what I think of as a complete wedding venue: a dramatic arrival, multiple spaces, flexible ceremony and reception flow, strong architecture and very good food.

Frequently asked

Where are the strongest photographs at Bellvue Manor?

In Jean’s experience, the foyer gives the strongest first impression, and the split-level lower reception room gives the most varied angles of the evening. Which spaces you can use depends on your booking.

Does it matter which reception room we book?

Yes. Jean has photographed both the large main ballroom and the split-level lower room, and each needs a different plan for speeches, dancing and family photographs. Share your room and timeline with us once you have them.

Can we have our ceremony in the foyer?

Jean has photographed a foyer ceremony that worked beautifully in the natural light. Whether the foyer is available for your ceremony, and when, is Bellvue Manor’s decision for your booking, so please confirm it with them.
