Weddings photographed at Universal EventSpace

Jean's Field Notes · September 2026

Universal feels like one of Peter & Paul’s flagship venues to me. I’ve photographed weddings both upstairs and downstairs, and the combination of large foyers, broad staircases, elevators and separate event spaces makes it very easy to move people and equipment through the day.

My favourite portrait spot is actually at the front of the building. The brown exterior walls and the symmetry of the architecture give me a clean, graphic background, and when the digital displays are showing the couple’s names I like incorporating that personalized signage into the photographs.

The food has always been exceptional in my experience. I still remember a Portuguese seafood buffet from years ago — especially the crab — and the hors d’oeuvres at more recent weddings have been just as strong. Seeing many of the same staff members there year after year also gives me a lot of confidence in how the venue is run.
