Can you hold your ceremony and reception at Club Roma?

Yes. Club Roma hosts both. Couples can marry outdoors in one of its garden ceremony spaces — the Tuscan Garden or the Woodland Grove — or in the Garden Pavilion, then hold the reception in one of the ballrooms. We've photographed outdoor ceremonies here, from the walk down the aisle to the ring exchange, along with the receptions and first dances that follow.

What are the outdoor ceremony spaces like?

Club Roma has two garden ceremony spaces. The Tuscan Garden is a Niagara winery-inspired setting with a rustic barn motif, a barn-door backdrop, and a pond, seating 20 to 350 guests. The Woodland Grove is a smaller space for 10 to 100 guests, set among large trees with a fairy-garden feel. The Garden Pavilion — surrounded by lush gardens, with an indoor/outdoor bar and rotating glass walls — hosts both ceremonies and receptions for 75 to 220 guests. In our own coverage here, the ceremonies we've shot have used the arbor, white chairs, and wine barrels amid autumn foliage.

Which ballrooms does Club Roma offer, and how many guests fit?

By the venue's own figures, the Gemini Ballroom seats 75 to 500 guests under a triple chandelier display and can be divided with a false wall; the Starlight Ballroom holds 35 to 220 beneath a twinkling starlight ceiling, with a dance floor and a removable stage; and the Anziani Ballroom suits 35 to 90 guests for more intimate gatherings. Sala Sixty One is the on-site restaurant and bar, and the Founders Room serves meetings and conferences.

What happens to an outdoor ceremony if it rains?

Club Roma plans for weather. If rain affects an outdoor ceremony, the Gemini Ballroom can be converted into a backup ceremony space, subject to day-of availability.

Where are the best spots for photos at Club Roma?

The gardens do much of the work. Across the weddings we've documented here, our portraits have used the arbor and garden greenery, the rustic wine barrels, and the autumn colour on the grounds — plus first dances lit by low white smoke and warm Edison bulbs indoors.

The main pavilion is what I remember most at Club Roma. It has that round-room feeling with windows wrapping around the space, so you have to think carefully about reflections and lighting — but once you know how to work with it, it photographs beautifully.

The outdoor ceremony area beside the pavilion is one of my favourite things on the property. The lawn, rustic structure and hedge opening create a really strong aisle view, and it feels like the ceremony space was designed specifically for weddings rather than added as an afterthought.

There are also useful prep spaces, including a groom area with a pool table and bar and a separate bridal suite. For me, though, the reason Club Roma stands out is still that outdoor ceremony setting.
