The first thing I think of at Spencer’s is the wall of glass facing Lake Ontario. During a ceremony, having the couple framed by those floor-to-ceiling windows gives you a very clean, dramatic look without needing to add much.

For portraits, the location is incredibly efficient because you are already inside Spencer Smith Park. We can step outside for the waterfront, the park, the Burlington Skyway in the distance and sunset without putting the couple in a car.

The food and service have always felt more like a strong restaurant than a traditional banquet hall to me, which makes sense for Spencer’s. I also like the way the room flip works after the ceremony: guests can move into the foyer and cocktail area while the Observatory is reset for dinner.
