First looks
The first look — yours to keep.
Wedding first looks by SIGS Photography. A planned, private moment between the couple before the ceremony — usually the most-shared photo from the day.
The moment before the ceremony
A first look is a planned private moment between the couple before the ceremony. SIGS recommends one to every wedding couple. The photograph and the reaction are usually the most-shared images from the wedding day.
First looks happen in a private corner of the venue — a garden, an empty ballroom, a quiet stairwell. The crew sets up the shot, calls for the partner waiting, and steps back.

Why couples do first looks
Most couples cite two reasons: more daylight portrait time before the ceremony, and a calmer emotional release than in front of 200 guests at the altar. The ceremony reveal still happens — it's just no longer the only reveal of the day.
