A note from Jean

Danielle and Michael’s wedding stands out in my memory because their getting-ready locations were only two doors apart. We started at Michael’s father’s house, where one room immediately caught my attention with its books, Italian furniture and the feeling of an early-1900s Italian home. On Danielle’s side, there were so many strong family moments: photographs with her sister while they were still in pyjamas, getting into the dress, and first looks with her mother, brother and bridesmaids. I remember her sister becoming emotional and her brother reacting with pure joy. We also made a portrait of Danielle on the old-style divan while the ring boy unexpectedly slipped into the frame, and I used the beautiful window light for a veil portrait. The bridal party gave us a lot of laughter as well. From there, the day moved to Mississauga Grand for the ceremony and reception.
