Laura & Alex

Laura and Alex’s wedding is one I’ll always remember, not only because of the incredible Star Wars theme, but because of how many familiar faces were part of their story. We first met Laura when she was a bridesmaid at Ewa and Mike’s wedding in 2022. Then, when we arrived for Laura and Alex’s wedding, I discovered that Sandy and Austin—another couple whose wedding we had photographed—were there working as their wedding planners. What struck me most was how close everyone was. Alex and his friends felt less like a groom with a wedding party and more like a group of lifelong best friends. Their first look by the water was beautiful, and we used the drone for an overhead view as they turned and saw each other. The Star Wars details were everywhere, from custom centrepieces and lightsabers to the Millennium Falcon crashing into their wedding cake. Later, Cambridge Mill brought us upstairs for sunset portraits overlooking the river. Those became some of my favourite photographs of the entire year. Between an exceptional best-man speech, an incredible dance floor and all those personal details, this was a wedding with personality everywhere you looked.
