Lisa & Eduardo

June 21, 2025 · Celebrating 1 year together

A note from Jean

Lisa and Eduardo’s wedding had several moments that stayed with me because they felt different from the usual wedding-day routine. Outside Holy Martyrs of Japan Church, instead of arranging everyone into one large group photograph, we created two lines of family and friends on either side. Lisa and Eduardo walked between them while everyone cheered, and afterward we had the group surround the couple while we filmed from above with the drone. It was an amazing way to capture the energy of the church exit. Afterward, we went back to Lisa’s parents’ home for some relaxed family photographs out front. It was a fun stop in the middle of the day, and I also remember being very happy to get a few snacks before continuing. At Richmond Green, we made one portrait I especially liked, with Lisa and Eduardo leaning into each other. A couple of months later, Eduardo sent me a version he had transformed into a Studio Ghibli-style illustration. It looked fantastic and was such a fun way to see one of our photographs reimagined. At the reception, the Peruvian dancers were another highlight. The colour, movement and energy they brought to the room made for some incredible photographs and gave the celebration a very distinctive cultural character.
