Melanie & Harold

May 15, 2026

A note from Jean

Melanie and Harold’s wedding was a very full day for us — roughly 13 hours of coverage from 9 in the morning until 10 at night. Parkview Manor is a venue I know extremely well because I have photographed weddings there since it opened, so walking into it for their wedding felt very familiar. One of the reasons I have always liked Parkview is that it works for very different kinds of weddings. I have photographed Greek, Canadian, Filipino, Georgian, Portuguese and other celebrations there, and the venue can handle both very large weddings and smaller receptions comfortably. The built-in head-table décor, strong sound system and long-time staff make it an easy room to work in from a photography and video standpoint. For Melanie and Harold, we also made some playful portraits outside, including one where two young ring bearers held Melanie’s veil while the couple kissed. That photograph is exactly the kind of spontaneous family moment I like finding during a long wedding day.
