C Hotel is one of my favourite Hamilton wedding destinations because so much of the day can happen in one place. The guest rooms are unusually large, which makes getting-ready photography much easier when a bride or groom has a full wedding party in the room.
My favourite photo area is the outdoor ceremony patio. It gives me natural light, several useful shooting directions and enough room to photograph both the ceremony and portraits without fighting street clutter at the front of the hotel.
The staff have also impressed me repeatedly. I once watched a centerpiece accident leave broken glass and water all over a table, and within minutes a team of staff had cleared it, cleaned everything and completely reset the table so the reception barely missed a beat. That kind of response tells you a lot about how a venue operates.
I also like the elevated view from the second-floor foyer and the reflective sphere artwork, which can create some very different photographs. Add the on-site hotel rooms, ceremony space and reception, and the whole day becomes much easier to manage.
