Royal Ashburn Golf Club

Can you have your ceremony and reception at Royal Ashburn?

Yes. Couples can hold an outdoor ceremony in one of two gardens and the reception indoors, all in one location. SIGS photographed Gabriela and Bryce's outdoor garden ceremony here — under an archway, with the officiant — followed by portraits and the celebration.

What are the ceremony gardens like?

Royal Ashburn has two outdoor ceremony gardens. The Cedars Garden, with a stone archway and an interlocking aisle, seats up to 180 guests; the Woodland Garden, with a wooden entrance archway, a gazebo, and a concrete aisle, seats up to 200.

What are the reception rooms, and how many guests fit?

Indoors, the Compton Room seats up to 240 guests, and the Ashburn Room up to 140 for more intimate celebrations.

What has SIGS photographed at Royal Ashburn?

Our coverage here is Gabriela and Bryce's wedding. It runs from the outdoor garden ceremony — the archway, the officiant, and emotional moments — through family and wedding-party portraits, including the couple's dog, to sunset by the pond.

Where is Royal Ashburn, and what's the setting?

Royal Ashburn Golf Club is at 995 Myrtle Road West in Whitby, in Durham Region east of Toronto. It's a golf club where couples hold the ceremony and reception in one location amid the gardens and grounds.
